Letteri assures Superman fans that Snyder’s “Man of Steel” won’t be too CGI-heavy, but rather will rely on in-camera effects.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Donner-esque “Superman Returns” and am excited about Snyder’s take on it. Can Superman possibly suffer from too much CGI though? The original pushed boundaries for visual effects and took a much-deserved Oscar for it.

Saw Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows a few days ago. Framestore’s work on the waterfall at the movie’s climax was amazing. http://www.framestore.com/#/Film%20VFX/SherlockHolmes,AGameofShadows

Very much! Better than the first, in my opinion. His signature use of time-remapping the footage is really utilized well for the fight sequences in these films, as Holmes breaks down the fight in his head.

I remember seeing the castle with the waterfalls on the mountain that was in the trailer and I found it very nice, I think I’m going to see it soon =)
